Eye Creams

Your eyes are one of the first areas of your face to exhibit the unwanted signs of aging. The thin skin around your eyes may make anti aging a difficult battle. Fortunately, there are some natural eye products out there to see you through. Try these effective anti aging eye remedies and see for yourself.

When searching for eye creams you may find that there are so many eye products on the market, it seems as if they go on as far as the eye can see! If you are into natural skin care and anti aging naturally, then consider these top natural eye products to moisturize and improve your under eye area.

Best Eye Products:

Vitamin E Oil

Vitamin E eye products are highly effective and often used in anti aging night treatments. Wrinkles start from various factors such as genetics, lifestyle and environmental factors. Vitamin E oil is an antioxidant that is essential for protecting the skin from these factors. Vitamin E can be applied directly to your eyes in its pure form. This oil will moisturize your skin and keep it smooth, protected and plump. It  treats wrinkles by increasing collagen production, a connective tissue that keeps skin elastic. Vitamin E oil also treats wrinkles by supporting new skin cell growth and speeding up cell regeneration.

Shea Butter

Shea butter will deeply heal and correct skin damage. Shea butter eye products are so high in moisture that they will reduce the appearance of your wrinkles because they will effectively plump your skin. A wrinkle reduction eye product with Shea butter is the LifeCell under eye roller. This eye roller includes Shea butter as one of its primary ingredients. This moisturizer is one of the best at healing aging skin around the eyes. Using Shea butter and other ingredients like retinol, it will make your eyes rejuvenated. Natural products like the ones by LifeCell, do not use harmful preservatives but on the contrary use soothing ingredients which make them great for your eye area. The LifeCell eye roller also comes equipped with an applicator so you do not have to worry about contaminating your sensitive eyes.

Cocoa Butter

Cocoa butter is found in chocolate, and it is one of the best eye products! Cocoa butter is high in antioxidants, which help fight off free radicals. Free radicals are causes of skin stressors and signs of aging. Cocoa butter application has helped heal scars. Cocoa butter is high in good fats for your skin and hydrates the skin deeply. The best thing about it is that it often comes in a convenient travel size (like lip balm) and it is easy to apply to the eye area.

Worst Eye Products:

Tamanu oil

Tamanu oil is a staple in the South Pacific and is a great moisturizer for your skin. It can effectively remove stretch marks that are present on your skin due to the break down of collagen and elastin. However, Tamanu oil is not to be used around your eyes. This product is natural, but it can sting your eyes and cause extreme discomfort. Make sure you leave Tamanu oil to do its job on your body, not your eyes.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a natural anti bacterial oil that originates from Australia. This oil is great for reducing acne and clearing the skin. It should however not be let any where near your eyes. This product will sting and should not be let anywhere near your mouth as well.

When it comes to your eye area you want to make sure that you use natural, soothing and healing products. The under eye area is very vulnerable to infection and aging. This is why it is very important to use products that include an applicator, like LifeCell products. You should be sure to sleep well, as this will help improve your eyes greatly. The natural products will help to reduce wrinkles and give you a youthful appearance. Be sure to not use anything that will harm or sting your eyes. Products with alcohol should be avoided, as should the tea tree oil and tamanu oil mentioned above. Not only is alcohol very drying, but it will harm your eyes.

My skin really benefits when i put cocoa butter on it. My eyes especially because for some reason i have really dry skin around eyes and that area. So cocoa butter helps keep it supple and have less wrinkles. I also like that it comes in a quick and easy applicator.

Ouch ouch ouch! Never ever put tamanu oil near your eyes, or even on your face for that matter! I once got tamanu in my eyes and to say the least it was painful :(. Really people be careful with what you put on your face. It is the most delicate skin of your body!

  • Sammy  says:

Cocoa butter is my personal favorite. I use it all the time. I use it around my under eyes and on my lips. If you have oily skin i do not recommend it but if you have dry skin then i think it works really great.

  • Rosy  says:

Olive oil is my go to for healthy skin. I use an olive oil and sugar scrub on my skin, and afterwards it looks just soo smooth and healthy. When i use it delicately under my eyes i can feel my skin getting moisturized. I think it is great for anti aging eyes.

  • Ginger  says:

Cocoa butter works great for anti aging my skin! I recommend it because like it mentions here in the article it comes in a easy to use tube like lip balm. So this makes it less risky for cross contamination. I think it is a great moisturizer for the eyes just don;t use it on your fore head or your chin if you have oily skin. It is very moisturizing so i would say it is not for oily skin.
